Tim Kirchmayr specializes in international arbitration and litigation, with a particular focus on complex commercial disputes. He has experience in proceedings governed by diverse substantive and procedural laws and has participated in arbitrations under the rules of leading institutions, including VIAC, ICC, and LCIA.
Before joining PARAGON, Tim Kirchmayr was part of the international arbitration team at a U.S.-based global law firm in London. He also gained academic experience as a research assistant at the Department of IT and IP Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Additionally, he completed his judicial clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Vienna and passed the New York Bar Exam in July 2025.
Tim Kirchmayr holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, where he concentrated on alternative dispute resolution. He also earned an LL.M. in Business Law from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, graduating first in his class and receiving multiple merit-based scholarships. During his studies, he competed in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, where his team won several awards for both written and oral advocacy. He now coaches the WU Vienna Vis Moot Team.
He has published on corporate and arbitration law in leading Austrian legal journals and is currently participating in the Young ICCA Mentoring Programme. Outside the legal field, Tim Kirchmayr was a long-time member of the Austrian national gymnastics team, competing at national and international levels.
