Lukas Brunner focuses his practice on international arbitration and litigation. He has represented clients in cases governed by a variety of substantive and procedural laws, including the laws of common law jurisdictions, drawing on his experience at a leading US-based international law firm. He has acted in proceedings conducted under the rules of the major arbitration institutions (including the AAA, ICC, and LCIA Rules).

Prior to joining Paragon, Lukas Brunner has gathered work experience in the international arbitration team of a US-based international law firm in London and at the legal department of an international federation also located in London. He also gained academic experience as a research assistant at the Department of Civil Procedure, University of Vienna School of Law.

Lukas Brunner has published and contributed to a number of articles on dispute resolution. He is a member of serval international arbitration associations and is currently part of the Young ICCA mentoring program.

He studied law in Austria (University of Vienna), where he was awarded several merit-based scholarships and accepted into the University’s honors program. During his studies, he participated in several moot court competitions, including the Franz von Zeiller Civil Law Moot, the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (where his team won the Werner Melis Award for Best Memorandum for Respondent and received an “honorable mention” as part of the Eric E. Bergsten Award for Team Orals as well as the Pieter Sanders Award for Best Memorandum for Claimant), and the Sports Arbitration Moot (where his team won the Award for the Best Appellant Submission).
