Veronika Korom and Brian Gabriel-Oiwoh Holding a Workshop on Oral Advocacy in International Arbitration

At PARAGON Advocacy, we believe that shaping the future of legal practice means actively investing in the next generation of lawyers. That is why we were especially proud to see Veronika Korom and Brian Gabriel-Oiwoh recently host a cross-border workshop for law students from Austria and Ghana, focused on the theme: “Oral Advocacy in International Arbitration”.

This interactive session brought together aspiring legal minds from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds to explore one of arbitration’s most vital skill set: effective oral argumentation before international tribunals.

In a field where clarity, credibility, and presence can make all the difference, oral advocacy is more than a performance — it’s a discipline. As practitioners, we view it as our responsibility (and privilege) to share what we have learned through years of experience and countless hearings.

We are grateful to the organizers, the participating universities, and especially the students for their engagement and thoughtful questions. It was a privilege to contribute to their learning journey, and we certainly came away with fresh perspectives ourselves. If this session is any indication, there is real promise and dedication among the next generation of arbitration practitioners — and we look forward to seeing where their paths lead.
